Policies & Procedures
Parking.
• It is very important to note that there is a train track that runs directly behind our building, that can sometimes cause delays of 30+ minutes. Please plan for this and allow time before and after your session in case you are delayed. You can avoid getting stuck by the train by approaching from the west, from either the Morrison or Hawthorne Bridge. If you DO get stuck, please contact us so we are aware of your situation, and we will accommodate you to the best of our ability.
There is an abundance of both free and paid parking in the area. Please review the parking map below, and if you have questions, please reach out.
Parking along Water Avenue between Taylor and Yamhill is paid city parking (Parking Kitty App or Parking Terminals on the Sidewalk), Parking along Taylor Avenue is free 2 hour visitor parking. Parking along Water Avenue south of Taylor is free 2 hour visitor parking on the West side of the street, and paid city parking along the east side of the street.
Please do not park in the loading zone at the north end of the building along Water Ave, unless you are loading in items that need to be transported on the freight elevator.
Please do not park in any spot that is marked “Reserved Parking” or “Permit Parking Only” - you will be towed from these spots at your own expense.
Check In.
When you arrive at the door, dial 0265 on the call box, and we will buzz you in.
Please plan for your load-in and load-out times to fall within the time that you reserve the space. No exceptions.
• Are you running late, or arrived early? Feel free to reach out, we will make any possible effort to accommodate.
There is a freight elevator available upon request, please make arrangements with us ahead of time if you need to load in something that will not fit in a conventional elevator.
Our main access door is on Water Ave between Boke Bowl and Bunk Sandwiches.
Using The Space.
There is one camera in the studio, mounted in front of the door for security purposes. We are extremely mindful of your privacy while you are in our space, this camera does not record audio, it is solely intended to monitor the front door.
WiFi is available - the network is “New Wave Studio” and the password is “RideTheWave”
Please feel free to use the Sonos Speaker for your session.
Sonos Speaker connects via WiFi or Bluetooth and is Google Assistant Enabled and Spotify connected.
To use the bluetooth, hold the bluetooth button on the back of the speaker until the light blinks blue, and then connect to “Sonos Move (SONOS DC60)”
Water is available at no charge from the water dispenser outside the dressing area.
The bathrooms are located in the hall next to the elevator, to enter place your hand over the Yale lock to activate the keypad, the code is 8201*
Feel free to move furniture, the rolling walls, carts, and anything else in the studio as needed - but please return them to their original place when your session is complete.
There is a variety of backdrops mounted on the wall, with more options available near the equipment shelf. We also have a rolling backdrop setup available for your convenience.
Check Out.
• Please dispose of all trash and recycling in the proper bins. If you have an excess amount of trash, trash bags are available and we do ask that you pack your trash out with you.
• Wipe any surfaces and sweep any areas that have gotten dirty during your rental, especially where food was placed or consumed.
• Turn off lights, unplug steamer, etc.
• Please place furniture, equipment, and any other items back where you found them.
• To lock up, close the door and hit “YALE” on the smart lock.
Other policies.
The renter agrees to the following:
• Respect all others using the space, as well as all other guests and tenants within the building.
Please keep the door to the studio closed when not entering or exiting to minimize noise in the hallways.
The renter shall repair or replace any property of New Wave Studio which suffers theft, loss, or damage due to their negligence or the negligence of their guests. In the circumstance that any studio property or equipment is damaged or lost, it will be the renter’s responsibility to replace them.
The renter will clean up after their booking, leaving the space looking the same as when they arrived. If the studio is not cleaned prior to your departure, you will be invoiced an additional cleaning fee at a rate of $75 per hour.
Cancellation Policy:
No refunds on cancelations within 24 hours of the reservation time.
50% refund on cancelations within 72 hours.
Full refund/reschedule 72 hours or more from reservation time.
Harassment Policy
At New Wave Studio, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all our clients and staff. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment, including but not limited to verbal abuse, physical intimidation, inappropriate comments or gestures, and any other behavior that creates a hostile environment.
Zero Tolerance: Any form of harassment towards our staff, models, clients, or any individuals on our premises will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Immediate Action: If any form of harassment is reported or observed, the individual responsible will be immediately banned, blocked, and removed from our premises and services.
No Refund: Any individual who is removed for harassment will not be eligible for a refund of any fees paid for our services, including deposits, session fees, and product purchases.
Legal Action: Depending on the severity of the harassment, we reserve the right to pursue legal action to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
By booking and engaging in our services, you agree to comply with this policy and understand the consequences of any breach.
